We hope to be your favourite holiday destination in Rhinehesse, also called the 'Tuscany of Germany'. Rhinehesse is Germany's largest wine growing region.

Espenhof dates back to 1664. Heike and Wilfied Espenschied are the 7th generation of the family owned business, producing quality wines, such as the famous German Riesling, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir
and some very interesting local cultivars such as Grauer Burgunder,
Sylvaner and Portugieser.
We are proud to be able to offer our guests cosy, mediterranean style accommodation in our hotel.

The Espenhof is situated 70 km [43 miles] southwest from Frankfurt Airport and
30 km from the state capital Mainz, which offers such cultural highlights as the Gutenberg museum with the world famous Gutenberg Bible, the famous Chagall stained glass windows at St. Stephan church, plus some very interesting shopping streets.

If you take the A63 Autobahn, use the exit Biebelnheim/Flonheim or
if you take the A61 Autobahn, use the exit Bornheim/Flonheim.
From both exits you will reach the charming winevillage of Flonheim
in about 10 minutes.

In our à la carte restaurant we offer exclusive wines from our own winery.
The owner, Wilfried Espenschied and Thomas Welter are the winemakers who will spoil you with quality red and white wines.
All are harvested in our own wineyards surrounding our hotel.
All varieties of our wines can be tasted as a perfect companion to your meals.
Our chef de cuisine will surprise you with excellent regional and seasonal gourmet highlights from the kitchen.

Opening hours of the à la carte wine-restaurant:
Daily from 05:30 pm. Warm kitchen until 10:00 pm
Sundays and official holidays from 11:30 am
Monday closed in low season.

The hotel is open all year round.
